North West Tourism briefs media on 13th Edition of the Heritage Park Walk, 4 Jun

Department to support the 2015 Heritage Park Walk

The North West Department of Tourism together with the North West Parks and Tourism Board, Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Tribal Authority and other key tourism stakeholders will host the 13th Edition of the Heritage Park Walk which will start from Pilanesberg National Park to Madikwe Game Reserve.

The purpose of this annual 106 kilometer walk is to sustain awareness amongst people within and outside the North West province about intentions of creating the third largest conservation estate of about 270 000ha to ultimately create a migratory corridor for bigger mammals by combining the two reserves.

The event attracts participants from all-over the province and the country and this year more than two hundred people are expected to participate.

Expected activities include the land donation from Barokologadi tribe and visit to the Moses Kotane Memorial.

The North West MEC for Tourism, Desbo Mohono invites all Media houses to be part of a media briefing which will outline details of this year’s 13th heritage walk across two game reserves in Bojanala.

The media briefing will be held as follows:
