The Minister of Employment and Labour, Thulas Nxesi will, on Monday 28 February 2022 brief media on the Draft National Labour Migration Policy (NLMP) and proposed amendments to the Employment Services Act, No 4 of 2014, to give effect to the policy.
Cabinet approved the release of the National Labour Migration Policy for public comment on Wednesday, 23 February 2022, following several engagements and consultations within government clusters and the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration co-chaired by Ministers Nxesi and Dr Motsoaledi of Home Affairs.
