Minister Rob Davies to brief the media on the US-Africa Leaders' Summit and his visit to Hollywood

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies will brief the media on the US-Africa Summit as well as his visit to Hollywood. Following the conclusion of the Summit Minister Davies visited Hollywood, Los Angeles to encourage US film makers to choose South Africa as their preferred location for production. 

Minister Davies says that South Africa has capabilities in the film value chain to offer in areas such as post production and visual effects, and that there is a number of Hollywood studios that are involved in film making in South Africa. The film industry has created around 25 000 jobs last year, as compared to 4 500 almost 12 years ago.
