Minister Peters to brief media on 2014 Easter Road Safety Campaign

Transport Minister, Hounorable Dipuo Peters, will brief media on the details of the 2014 Easter holiday season Road Safety Campaign in South Africa.

During the briefing, Minister Peters will also highlight initiatives undertaken during this period and indicate programmes and campaigns that will be implemented throughout the year to reduce the carnage on the country’s roads.

Law enforcement officers were out on all the major routes and increased visibility of marked law enforcement vehicles from all spheres of government became symbolic over this holiday period.

Minister Peters will be joined during the briefing by provincial MECs for Roads and Transport, Public Works and Community Safety and Liaison, senior national and provincial government officials, CEOs of Transport Agencies, Heads of Traffic, road safety partners from the private and public sector and the media.
