The Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Mr Parks Tau, will brief members of the media on the National Opt-Out Registry system. The Opt-Out Registry system will allow consumers to pre-emptively block unwanted direct marketing communications. Direct marketers, on the other hand, will have to cleanse their marketing monthly before running any direct marketing campaign.
Minister Tau will be accompanied by the National Consumer Commissioner, Mr Hardin Ratshisusu, and the Information Regulator’s Chairperson, Advocate Pansy Tlakula.
