Minister Mokonyane to give an update about R10.7 billion owed to the department
The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Ms Nomvula Mokonyane will, tomorrow, 13 December 2017 host a media briefing to update the country on agreements reached with certain municipalities to settle their outstanding debts of more than 60 days.

On Friday, 24 November 2017, the Department of Water and Sanitation issued letters to municipalities, notifying them of its intention to reduce water supply to them should they fail to make arrangements to pay their outstanding debts by Friday, 08 December 2017.
