Minister Naledi Pandor briefs media on "Innovation Bridge" to be held in South Africa, 2 Feb

The Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor, will brief members of the media on the first-ever "Innovation Bridge" to be held in South Africa.

The media briefing will follow the opening ceremony, in which the Minister Pandor will deliver the opening address.

The media briefing is scheduled as follows:

Venue: CSIR’s  Convention Centre, Meiring Naude Road, Brummeria, Pretoria

For the first time ever in South Africa, in one venue, there will be on display publicly funded technology products from South African universities, science councils and Technology Innovation Agency (TIA)-supported companies.

In addition, there will be national and international investors, entrepreneurs, captains of industry and other technology development and commercialisation partners and collaborators present.

The Department of Science and Technology is hosting the event, together with its partners, namely TIA, the National Intellectual Property Management Office and the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association.

The event will include technology exhibitions and demonstrations, plenary discussions, side events, policy dialogues and matchmaking opportunities.
