Minister Dipuo Peters releases 2014/15 Festive Season road crash and fatalities statistics, 9 Jan

Transport Minister, Honourable Dipuo Peters will announce the 2014/15 preliminary festive season road crash and fatality statistics during a media briefing to be held in Cape Town.

The Minister, deeply concerned with the number of crashes and fatalities on the roads, has called on every single road user, motorist, passenger and pedestrian alike travelling from their various holiday destinations back to the cities and vice versa, to use the roads responsibly at all times in order to save lives.

Minister Peters will be joined during the briefing by Transport Deputy Minister, Honourable Sindisiwe Chikunga, provincial MECs for Roads and Transport and Community Safety and Liaison, CEOs of Transport State Owned Companies, key transport stakeholders and senior national, provincial and local government officials and members of the media.
