On Wednesday, 23 April 2014, Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula MP, will unpack the Defence Review in a conversation with members of the media.
Hon. Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, MP, will discuss the outcomes of the Defence Review 2014 and further deliberate on the key issues that are fundamental to understanding the Defence Review.
Undoubtedly, the first comprehensive review of the state of our armed forces in over 18 years, the latest review provides a blueprint for the baseline design that will steer the Defence Force through the next twenty to thirty years, taking into account the country's defence capabilities.
In light of this, the Ministry of Defence and Military Veterans wishes to engage with the media in a critical two-way dialogue about the significance of the Defence Review 2014 and allow members of the media an opportunity to ask questions pertinent to the Defence Review 2014.
Minister Mapisa-Nqakula will be joined by the entire Apex leadership of the Ministry of Defence and Military Veterans, SANDF, and members of the Defence Review Committee.
