Minister Carlisle to brief the media on proposed motor vehicle license fees increase

Transport and Public Works Minister Robin Carlisle, will be briefing the media on the proposed motor vehicle license and registration fees increase for the Western Cape. This comes after a moratorium on the fee increases in the Province since 2005, when the Western Cape fees were on average, higher than all other provinces.

Minister Carlisle will be providing details on:

  • the proposed motor vehicle license and registration increases
  • the impact that these fees have on provincial roads infrastructure
  • how the public can comment on the proposed increases.
