2015 opportunities for the matriculants in the Post School Education and Training System
The Minister of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Dr Blade Nzimande, will host a media briefing on the Post School Education and Training (PSET) System.
The minister has noted the matric results with interest and looks forward to congratulating and welcoming the students into the PSET System. He recognises that this is a crucial time and a major milestone in the students' lives and would therefore like to take this opportunity to provide them with as much information as possible about the options that are available to them, within the system.
In addition, the minister will highlight the nature of numerous PSET opportunities available to Matriculants at the briefing, as well as the institutions of various types which will provide a range of post-school study choices.
He will also provide information on the Department's interventions to address, amongst other things, concerns about funding, the validity of higher education and training institutions and guidance for students who have not been able to secure spaces at their institutions of first choice.
