MEC term vision announced

Jobs, efficiency, modern, innovative and a caring state are the core values for the Gauteng Provincial Government, MEC Nandi Mayathula-Khoza said. She was speaking ahead of her first media briefing as the Gauteng MEC of the Department of Infrastructure Development (DID).

The media briefing is to be held next week on Monday. At this briefing, Mayathula-Khoza will take the people of Gauteng into confidence on the entire DID programme.

The briefing will focus on the first 200 days of the fifth administration under the leadership of Premier David Makhura. The MEC said DID is Government’s principal contractor; and as such, it will be championing government’s radical infrastructure delivery with the creation of over a million jobs as its major undertaking over the next five years.

This enormous project is expected to cover healthcare centres, schools, social development centres such as early learning and homes of the aged. The announcement will include details of the ground-breaking Green Agenda solutions for energy and water provision for the Gauteng Government.

Media are invited as follows:
Date: Monday, 14 July 2014
Time: 10h00 - 12h00
Venue: 6th Floor Boardroom, Corner House Building, 63 Fox Street,
