Re-establishment of Provincial Council on AIDS
North West Health MEC, Madoda Sambatha will brief the media on the re-establishment of Provincial Council on AIDS (PCA) under the following details:

PCA was dismantled in 2015 leaving the Province without an entity that mobilises resources and strengthen the Civil Society HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) response and ensure that Civil Society Sectors are equal, meaningful and visible partners at all levels in the HIV, TB and STI response.
The media briefing will take place on the side lines of a North West HIV and TB Summit which will be attended by representatives from the National Department of Health, Mineral Council SA, academics from the North West University, researchers, and heads of health in mining companies. The aim is to get scientific input on challenges facing HIV and TB,and solutions to inform planning and budget allocation ahead of the 2019/20 Financial Year Budget Speech.
