MEC Hope Papo to brief the media on successful separation of the conjoined twins

The Gauteng MEC for Health Hope Papo, will today brief the media on the successful separation of the conjoined twins who were transferred to Steve Biko Hospital a week ago.

The twins, born to a 23 year old woman, were airlifted from Mpumalanga after being delivered by Caesarean section.

The girls, Neo and Reneilwe who were joined at the chest and shared some major organs were admitted to the paediatric intensive care unit and have been receiving specialised medical attention from a team working in the hospital’s department of paediatrics and child health.
