This Thursday (19 March 2015) Alan Winde, MEC of Economic Opportunities, will brief the media on the Western Cape Government’s drive to increase agri-exports and will provide a 2014/15 harvest season update.
MEC Winde’s update will include the following:
- Harvest update for fruit and wine industries
- Export trends for these industries
Agri-exports currently deliver a multi-billion rand boost for the region and are experiencing significant growth.
VinPro CEO, Rico Basson, will provide an in-depth analysis of the harvest season for the wine industry. Hosted at one of the Western Cape’s most well-known wine estates, media will also get a glimpse of the harvest process at De Grendel Wines.
