The Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi and the Deputy Minister for Traditional Affairs, Mr Obed Bapela will hold a joint press conference on initiation cultural practices.
The winter season signals the start of the initiation period in the South African calendar where young males, the majority of whom are teenagers, are gearing to enter the initiation schools and commence with the rite of passage from childhood to adulthood.
