Members of the media are invited to a media briefing on the integrated nuclear infrastructure review by the Director-General (DG) of the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA).
This briefing is in response to an invitation extended to the DG to attend the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) by the Minister of Energy, Ms Dipuo Peters, MP.
Director-General Amano will be having several bi-lateral engagements and will also visit the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (NECSA) Pelindaba as well as Koeberg Nuclear Sites.
In addition to this, the visit of the IAEA DG also coincides with the conclusion of the IAEA led by INIR that is currently taking place at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways. The Director-General will be joined by Department of Energy senior managers and designated State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) industry expert.
