The Director-General of Home Affairs Mkuseli Apleni invites the media to an off-the-record briefing on the implementation of the new immigration laws and regulations. The purpose of the off-the-record discussion is to share information with the media, as a stakeholder, on the amended immigration law and its regulations.
We believe the envisaged interaction and frank discussion will create a platform for you to raise questions you may have and receive more clarity and explanation on the immigration policy and the direction that South Africa is taking.
The media enquiries we have received around the implementation of the new immigration regulations also point to the need for an interactive session. A technical presentation will be made on the amended immigration law and the regulations to enrich discussions. The presentation will be followed by questions and discussions on which more time will be spent.
