On Monday, 27 April 2015 at 08h30, South Africa will celebrate Freedom Day at the Union Buildings, Pretoria under the theme: “Celebrating the Third Decade of our Freedom through Accelerating Radical Economic Transformation”. This year’s Freedom Day celebrations marks 21 years of Freedom and Democracy in South Africa and also marks the 60th Anniversary of the Freedom Charter, the historic road-map to our struggle for freedom and ultimately the achievement of democracy. As part of the Freedom Day programme, an interfaith prayer will be held at 6h00-7h00 in Freedom Park, Pretoria.
On Tuesday, 28 April, Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration will brief the media on the latest government's response to address the attacks on foreign nationals. The time and venue will be communicated at a later stage.
On Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 10h00, Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe will brief the media on the outcome of the Cabinet meeting scheduled for the 29 of April 2015, at Tshedimosetso House with video link to Cape Town.
