The Gauteng Finance MEC, Mr Mandla Nkomfe will host a press conference on fraud and corruption at Gallagher Convention Centre on 16 November 2012.
The MEC together with representatives from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, FNB and Vodacom will discuss fraud detection and prevention strategies in both public and private sector.
In the press conference, the MEC will outline measures that the Gauteng Provincial Treasury have taken to combat Fraud and Corruption to protect the resources and image of government in line with the Gauteng Anti-Corruption Strategic Framework. Amongst others:
- Progress about vetting of Supply Chain Official (in procurement) by the State Security Agency.
- Automating Human Resource processes to ensure that salaries are paid to existing employees.
- The overall presentation of the Gauteng Anti-Corruption Strategy.
