Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) Commissioner, Teboho Maruping together with officials from the Department of Employment and Labour will brief members of the media at the Department’s provincial office in Kimberley, Northern Cape Province on 14 March 2023.
The purpose of the briefing is, to unpack the key priorities of the UIF for the upcoming 2023/2024 financial year, provide an update on matters related to the Covid-19 Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme (Covid-19 TERS), normal UIF benefit payments, fraud cases and phase 2 of the "follow the money" project which started in July 2022 as well as findings on workplace inspections conducted in the province during the 2022/2023 financial year.
