Director-General in The Presidency, Vusi Mavimbela, will release the names of nominees for the National Orders at a media briefing that will take place as follows:

The National Orders are the highest awards that a country, through its president, bestows on its citizens and eminent foreign nationals.
The media briefing precedes the National Orders ceremony on 27 April 2010, where President Jacob Zuma will award National Orders to South Africans and foreign nationals who have made an outstanding contribution to the nation.
