The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga, will after meeting with all provincial MECs release a detailed report on the Grade 12 Examination readiness. The report will cover the state of each province, number of delegates enrolled for the 2011 examinations, the security arrangements around the examination as well as the dates in which marking will resume and the release of the results in 2012.
The Minister will also report to the media on the following matters that are on the agenda of the Council of Ministers Meeting:
1. The Teacher Laptop Initiative and the new proposed strategy
2. Teacher Development Implementation in Priority Areas
3. Progress Report on the Development of Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements for all subjects listed in the National Curriculum Statement Grades R-12
4. Readiness for the School Sport Launch
