The Department of Roads and Public Works has declared the month of September as the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) month. The objective of this month is to maximise the profiling of the EPWP through effective mobilisation and interaction with the public and stakeholders as well as to showcase some of the best practice programme and activities of EPWP phase two.
The EPWP month will be announced in the form of a media breakfast on Wednesday, 2 September 2009 in Bhisho. The event will involve the Premier, national Public Works Minister Geoff Doidge, MECs, District Mayors and Heads of Departments. Roads and Public Works MEC Pemmy Majodina therefore wish to extend an invitation to you to join us for this occasion.
The programme is intended to be very short starting from 07h30 to 08h30 in order to enable the Premier and MECs to thereafter proceed to the Executive Council Meeting.
