Tomorrow, 4 August 2009, MEC for Education Donald Grant will be celebrating National Science Week at the MTN Science Centre in Canal Walk.
He will also be meeting Zuko Sithumba (14) and Siphosile Shumane (14) who were selected to attend an international youth conference in Denmark next week. The two teens are part of the Scientific and Industrial Leadership Initiative (SAILI) comets, a programme that identifies youths from previously disadvantaged communities who show potential in mathematics and science.
Five hundred of the world’s most talented, engaged and creative youths will meet for the Bright Green Youth conference on Global Warming and Climate Change.
