In an effort to celebrate the legacy of South Africa's former President Nelson Mandela, the Gauteng Department of Local Government and Housing MEC will do community work at Eldorado Park Women's Forum Shelter in Lenasia South, tomorrow. The MEC will also visit Meadowlands and Orlando West Hostels in Soweto.
The volunteers will dedicate 67 minutes of their time doing painting work, gardening services, construction work, cleaning of the yard, tilling work, peeling of vegetables and distribution of blankets and winter clothes. The following sponsors have donated amenities required and will avail themselves to participate in the programme: Rainbow Fm, Lasher, Johannesburg Fresh Produced Market, Builders Trade Depo, Department of Agriculture, Zonke Technologies, Black Sheep Printers, Shereno Printers, Oceana Brands, Limpopo Bizzy Builders, Penny Lebyane, DGSD Consulting Engeeners and Project Managers.

Mandela Day is an annual celebration of Nelson Mandela's life and a global call to action for people to recognise their individual power to make an imprint and change the world around them. And spend 67 minutes as Mr Mandela has spent 67 years making the world a better place.
Nelson Mandela turns 91 on 18 July.
