The MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Dr Clifford Mkasi will table the 2011/12 policy and budget speech.

The main objective is to highlight the previous financial year’s departmental achievement as well as to highlight the department’s plans for 2011/12 financial year.
Some of the key focus areas of the policy and budget speech will be:
- Roll out of infrastructure programme
- Maintenance and delivery of new surface roads
- Roll out of Public Transport Programme
- Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and Job creation
