All media are informed that the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Ms Edna Molewa, will today, Friday 7 January, visit the Qedusizi Dam in the Ladysmith area. Minister Molewa will assess the impact on the dam and the area of the flooding of the Klip River on the 3rd and 4th of this month. The Minister will also assess the impact of the flood control measures put in place by the department and municipality to curb this flooding. Minister Molewa and the officials will also look at how the Department can assist the affected families in the area.
