Correctional Services Free State and Northern Cape Region (Grootvlei) will be commemorating World AIDS Day on 4 December 2009 at Boshof Community Hall. The Regional Commissioner of Free State and Northern Cape Mr Z Modise and other dignitaries will grace the occasion. There will also be an unveiling of the statute donated by Old Mutual to remember those who died due to HIV and AIDS.
Since Boshof Correctional Centre adopted the orphanage home in a bid to alleviate poverty, there will be donations of food stuff to those vulnerable children by the regional commissioner. The food stuff is donated by other organisations for instance South African Students Congress (SASCO).
