Mpumalanga MEC for Finance, Mrs Yvonne (Pinky) Phosa will on Friday, 26 November 2010 table the Provincial Adjustment Budget Appropriation Bill to the Provincial Legislature. The Budget Adjustment Statement has as its role, the re-determination of finance priorities in the quest to accelerate delivery where there are pressing needs.
The tabling of Adjustment Budget follows the mid-term review session wherein the government assessed its performance in relation to the service delivery objective and expenditure against appropriated budget for the financial year 2010/11.
MEC Phosa tabled the Provincial Budget amounting to R26 billion, R100 million, R585 thousand in March 2010. The budget was appropriated for the requirements of the Provincial Government administration and provision of services to the people of Mpumalanga.
