North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa is scheduled to officially open the Tlokwe City Council Motor Vehicle Registration, Licensing and Testing Centre in Potchefstroom on Friday, 8 October 2010.
The new building completed recently is in line with the best practice model intended to improve provision of services at the province’s fourth biggest registering authority. Among others, the facility will increase the capacity of cashiers from 5 to 12 as the registering authority is currently operating from premises shared by municipal traffic and clinic.
Proceedings that include cutting of the ribbon, tour of the facility and delivery of keynote speech by MEC Yawa are scheduled to commence at 10h00 at the centre located at corner Nelson Mandela Avenue and Luitingh Streets.
