MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison Ghishma Barry will officially launch an Alcohol Evidence Centre in Straundale, Port Elizabeth on Friday 4 June 2010.
This is a joint initiative with South African Breweries, South African Police Force, Provincial Traffic, CPF Provincial Board and Buffalo City Traffic in ensuring that the law around drink-driving is upheld in the interest of the people of the Eastern Cape
This venture is also in-line with the Provincial Crime Prevention Strategy (PCPS) that seeks to improve the moral fibre of the people of the Eastern Cape. With its emphasis placed on good governance and building of strong household and communities through an integrated crime prevention strategy.
