MEC to provide school uniforms to needy children in North West

North West MEC for Social Development, Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Mme Mosetsanagape Mokemele-Mothibi, will next week reach out to 4 000 underpriviliged and deserving school by presenting them with brand new school uniforms throughout the province as schools reopen for 2011.

As part of the MEC’s Social Assistance Programme, she will hand over the school uniforms to 1 000 children in each of the four districts of the province.

MEC Mokomele-Mothibi will hand out the school uniforms as follows:

  • 18 January 2011 – Maphoitsile Primary School, Maphoitsile Village – Greater Taung Local Municipality – 1 000 beneficiaries
  • 19 January 2011 – Zamaukulunga Primary School, Jouberton Township – City of Matlosana
  • 20 January 2011 – Tshefoge Primary School, Vaalbosloot Ward 1 in Jericho Village –Madibeng Local Municipality
  • 21 January 2011 – Bosugakobo Primary School, Dinkona Village – Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality

MEC Mokomele-Mothibi will be accompanied by Education MEC, Raymond Elisha for the duration of this programme. This programme is in pursuit of realising the MEC Mokomele-Mothibi’s objective to provide material support to vulnerable groups and individuals within the communities and one of those is to target needy children in disadvantaged communities.
