North West MEC for Social Development, Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Mme Mosetsanagape Mokomele-Mothibi will present awards to emerging social welfare organisations and individuals for their valuable contributions in improving the quality of life of their communities at the annual Community Builder of the Year award-giving ceremony to be held on Friday, 16 September 2011 at Kwa Maritane Hotel in Bojanala.
The aim of the programme is to render development support and reward service excellence of emerging cooperatives and non-profit organisations.
Mokomele-Mothibi will recognise organisations and individuals who have played a meaningful role in child and family care, HIV and AIDS, community based care, youth development, people with disability and income generation.
The awards ceremony will be held as follows:
