North West MEC for Human Settlements, Public Safety and Liaison, Ms Desbo Mohono is scheduled to monitor re-opening of schools in the storm disaster areas of Bloemhof and Taung in the North West Province over two days.
MEC Mohono will visit Hartsfontein Primary and Vaaloewer Combined Schools in Bloemhof on Wednesday and conclude the monitoring exercise on Thursday after visiting Thate Molatlhwa and Boareng Middle Schools in Ditshelong and Lokaleng villages in Taung.
MEC Mohono will use the opportunity to apprise herself of the extent to which the storm that hit the two areas last week has damaged infrastructure and damaged formal and informal housing structures.
