MEC Mohono to honour police officers towards National Police Day

North West MEC for Human Settlements Public Safety and Liaison, Ms Desbo Mohono is to honour men and women in dignified blue who fell in the line of duty since the dawn of democracy in 1994 by laying a wreath at the South African Police Service Provincial commemoration service to be held at The Mahikeng Cluster Commander’s Offices (formally known as TTA) on Thursday morning.

As part of the build-up towards National Police Day celebrations, MEC Mohono will deliver the keynote address at the Excellence Awards to recognise police officers and other stakeholders for their selfless service and dedication in serving communities at a gala dinner to be held in Mmabatho.

The MEC will also deliver the keynote address at the National Police Day Provincial event scheduled to be held in Mmabatho Stadium on Friday.

According to MEC Mohono, all the activities will be done to honour and appreciate police officers for their contribution towards creating safer communities.
