MEC Mohono to donate food parcels and school bags to vulnerable children
North West MEC for Human Settlements, Public Safety and Liaison, Ms Desbo Mohono will this afternoon lead a team from the Public Safety Branch of her department that will be donating food parcels, cloths and school bags to the Phuthi Vulnerable Children’s Shelter at Makhubung village outside Mahikeng.

The department adopted the shelter as part of its social responsibility for the next twelve months. The shelter which survives through donations is managed by six women and two male volunteers who are currently taking care of 47 children.
 
Volunteers assist the children with their daily homework after school, provide them with food and give them proper medical care when they are sick.
 
The department took an initiative to assist the shelter, where employees would  donate clothes, food parcels, seedlings and school uniforms.
