North West MEC for Human Settlements, Public Safety & Liaison, Ms Desbo Mohono is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the ceremony at which women traffic officers from the Provincial Road Traffic Management Unit in Bojanala District are to donate school uniforms to needy rural learners.

The community is predominantly poor and with high level of illiteracy as most residents are originally from the farms around Derby and have spent most of their time tilling and working on farms.
The parents and the adult community rely heavily on seasonal employment offered by farmers and cannot afford to care for their children as much as they would like to.
The event is to mark the closure of successful zero tolerance traffic law enforcement special operations to commemorate women’s month.
