MEC Mekgwe receives donation for Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital

Gauteng Health and Social Development MEC Ntombi Mekgwe will receive equipment for Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital’s Pediatric ICU and High Care wards donated by Carte Blanche Make a Difference Campaign tomorrow.

Such donations by the private sector help boost the provision of health care and contribute positively towards the Department of Health’s goal of reducing maternal and infants deaths.

The Make a Difference campaign was started by Carte Blanche in 2008 and has been joined by other companies since then. The aim of the campaign is to highlight the plight of welfare organisations which focus on the needs of children as well as highlighting the needs of pediatric surgery units in five major hospitals around the country including Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic, Chris Hani Baragwanath as well as Steve Biko Pretoria Academic Hospitals.
