Tomorrow, Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development in partnership with Department of Community Safety will embark on a road safety campaign on N12 Eldorado Bridge.
Themed, Safety on the road through health lifestyle, the campaign aims to alert drivers on health conditions that can lead to road fatalities. It also aims to highlight the importance of regular medical check-ups before embarking on long trips.
While traffic officers will be checking conditions of cars, Health and Social Development MEC Ntombi Mekgwe will join nurses who will be educating travelers on health matters and screening for hypertension, diabetes and most importantly eye sight.
