MEC Mekgwe distributes brand new school uniforms

Gauteng Health and Social Development MEC, Ntombi Mekgwe will tomorrow brighten up over 350 underprivileged learner’s first day of school by providing brand new uniforms.

These learners, from three primary schools in Ekurhuleni municipality (Kingsway in Benoni, Tshepisa and Thuto-ke-Matla Comprehensive in Tembisa) will also receive dignitary packs which consist of cosmetics.

This initiative, Bana Pele (Putting Children First), by Gauteng government aims to motivate learners to excel in their studies and to improve access to education in disadvantaged communities.
