As part of celebration of the Mandela Day, the MEC for Gauteng Department of Community Safety together with different donors will take part in various activities to inspire people to embrace the values that Tata Mandela shared. This includes the visit to Ikhaya Lethemba, a facility within the department that serves as a one stop centre for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
Substantial donations will be made by companies such as Anglo American, Putco Limited, ICTV and Radio, Manenzhe Group and Mabhode General Enterprise. Senior managers and staff members will assist with the daily running of the centre for the day. The MEC will also utilise her 67 minutes to interact with children and women in the centre.
