The MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs in Mpumalanga, MEC Madala Masuku will be meeting with the business community of Emalahleni Local Municipality.
The meeting is aimed at engaging the business community about service delivery challenges that the municipality has been experiencing and possible solutions. Some of these problems resulted in the municipality not being able to provide water to approximately 80% of its residences in the past weeks. In the meeting the MEC will give progress on the matters that have been resolved and outline the department's intervention in resolving the outstanding matters.
After the meeting MEC Masuku will address the media on the way forward in dealing with the service delivery problems of the municipality.
