MEC Marawu to launch Easter Arrive Alive campaign

As part of intensifying the 2012 Easter Arrive Alive Campaign, the Eastern Cape MEC for Transport, Ms Thandiswa Marawu, will unveil 30 new vehicles for traffic officers during the official launch of the Provincial Campaign in Mthatha, at the Mqhekezweni turn-off (Kotishini) on Friday, 30 March at 10h00.

These vehicles will assist in the intensification of “Operation Asihleki”, which is the provincial campaign that contributes to the implementation of the National Rolling Enforcement Plan. Each officer is expected to stop and check a minimum of 15 vehicles per eight-hour shift.
