Ensuring that the 'doors of learning are open' to children of school going age has prompted the Eastern Cape Education Department to construct a modern school structure for the community of Caba in Maluti, hence tomorrow 20 April 2012, MEC Mandla Makupula will be officially handing over Mahlubi Junior Secondary School to this community.
The ten class-roomed school also has an administrative block which accommodates the principal, deputy principal, a staff room, library and a Grade R classroom. Apart from the modern landscaping done in the school yard, these premises are surrounded by a security palisade fence to ensure access to the school is controlled.
Despite the location of the learners, the department is in a campaign to ensure that studying under trees or improper school structures is history.
