With many of the Gauteng Community games reaching the finals this week, MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (SACR) Lebogang Maile will be at the Pollen Ndlanya games this coming Friday for the crowning of the tournament’s 2011/12 champions.
The tournament will produce it’s 2011/12 champions after two-weeks of grueling soccer since it started on December 15. As part of the assistance by the Department, the finalists will be playing in a new soccer kit donated -by the department- including the medals and trophies.
With MEC Maile’s mission to strengthen the development of sport in the province, this year’s community games including the Pollen Ndlanya tournament have been the first official partnership with the department. This is aimed at contributing towards building a solid foundation for producing future sport stars for sustaining Gauteng as the home of champions.
