North West to launch one stop centre for survivors of sexual and gender based violence

North West Health MEC Madoda Sambatha will launch Kgomotso Care Centre, a one stop centre that provides free, quality and confidential care for survivors of sexual and gender based violence, under the following details:

Date: Thursday, 21 November 2019
Venue: Bapong Community Health Centre, Brits
Time: 15h00

The centre provides a comprehensive package of care to survivors of sexual abuse, including medical consultations with forensic nurses, counseling, social support and follow up.

The Department of Health in the North West commissioned the Kgomotso Care Centre model in 2014 to provide forensic services to survivors of abuse in collaboration with sister departments and stakeholders.
