The North West MEC for Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Gordon Kegakilwe will tomorrow, 9 October 2009, at 09h00 convene a meeting with municipal officials from the Kagisano Local Municipality and traditional leaders to discuss the amalgamation of the Kagisano and Molopo local municipalities.
Kegakilwe will also meet with community members at the Tlou le Tau tribal hall in Ganyesa at 14h00 to outline the amalgamation processes. This move serves as a follow-up to a gathering with stakeholders held at the Molopo local municipality in August this year subsequent to a decision by the Municipal Demarcation Board to merge both municipalities.
