Working towards accelerating health and social service delivery in the province, North West MEC for Health and Social Development, Rebecca Kasienyane, will visit Bojanala Platinum District health facilities to assess conditions and meet with health professionals. The visit is part of continuous efforts by the MEC to build a healthy nation.
Part of her visit in Bojanala, MEC Kasienyane will officially open a revitalised trauma unit equipped with modern technology at the Job Shimankana Tabane Hospital. The unit is part of ongoing revitalisations projects that are intended to improve the emergency and clinical service delivery in the province, particularly the trauma units.
As an element of forging relations between the department and private health practitioners, Kasienyane will today meet with private doctors at the Bojanala Health District offices at 18h00 followed by a visit to Brits Hospital tomorrow at 14h00 and on Friday she will officially open the trauma unit at 11h00.
The visit to health facilities is prompted by the MEC’s desire to experience conditions at first hand and to listen to challenges that health professionals are facing.
