North West MEC for Health and Social Development, Rebecca Kasienyane is to recognise contributions by organisations and individuals who dedicate time and resources to improving the quality of life of their communities in 2009 during the annual Community Builder of the Year awards.
Community builders will be awarded at a glittering ceremony to be held on Friday, 22 January 2010 at 18h00 at Protea Hotel in Klerksdorp.
Recognition will be awarded to organisations and individuals that made a difference in child and family care, HIV and AIDS and community based care, youth development, people with disability and income generation.
The Community Builder of the Year programme is a nation building initiative conceived by the late Dr Aggrey Klaaste in 1991. Since its formation it has been celebrated annually.
